Trails are CLOSED - Rspafford @ 20:53 EDT

I regret to say, with the warm temperatures and the lack of snow, we need to close our trails at this time.

There have been some landowner complaints. The biggest one from Mark Stryker, who has the farm on Emerson Road. It seems that people did not want to ride across the chisel plowed fields so they made their own route and rode thru several of his winter wheat fields, he was not happy. Chris Livermore put up some "Winter Wheat Keep Out" signs for him on Tuesday and someone disregarded the signs and rode around them anyway. We can not allow this to continue or we will loose his permission to ride across his property. If that happens it would be a major disaster to our trail system. I have spent years building a working relationship with Mark and I would hate to see it end form the stupid actions of a few renegade snowmobilers. The signage across his property is now complete and when we get more snow please make sure to follow the signs and stay on the trail. As the signs read "STAY ON THE TRAIL OR STAY HOME" Mark has taken an extra step and run his dozer across some of the plowed fields to knock the high spots down and may do some more if the weather stays warm. If any of you know him and see him make sure to thank him for doing this and let him know that we will all help police it to keep riders on the trail. I have ridden all of the chisel plowed several times since Sunday and it is not that bad if you take your time SLOW DOWN.

The trail to the Racino also has some landowner issues that we are still trying to work out. If you do not see signs directing you were to go then don't try and blaze your own trail. It will only make it more difficult to get permissions. I will keep you posted on any new developments.
